Health, Healing, and Death

Think of HP as a characters capacity to shrug off and dodge blows. Actual health is equal to con. When con is reduced the character starts to bleed desperately. Once con is reduced to half, the character may only make one action per round. Once con is reduced to zero the character is unconscious. At negative con the character must be stabilized before their next round (either with magic or with an assisted swig) or die. Con is recovered naturally at 1 point per level per night’s rest. But magic works best. HP recovers completely after a full rest.
Ex: Considering that there are 3 increments of 8 hour full rests in a day, a character of level 2 could spend 24 hours sleeping/ bedridden to gain 6 con. Even without their con fully restored, the character still gains back full HP after the first rest. Unfortunately the character can still only take one action per round until their con reaches it’s 50% potential.
